Our mission
To empower seniors to live comfortably in their own homes—on their own terms—while giving peace of mind to the people who love them.

We’re also proud to create rewarding local work opportunities—because everyone deserves
to do rewarding work.

Our story
The idea for HelpHive came when our founder, Taylor, saw how difficult it was for his wife, Pam, and her family to arrange at-home help for her three grandparents — all in their 90s, still full of life but needing a helping hand from time to time.
The options were few. Even the best had problems: narrow services, clunky systems, and caregivers who were burnt out, working in environments that took away their autonomy and failed to reward good work.
Seeing how many other families faced the same struggle, we built HelpHive — a platform that connects seniors and their families with trusted, vetted caregivers — we call them Helpers — right in their community.
Seniors keep living life on their own terms. Families get peace of mind knowing flexible help is only minutes away, and Helpers are empowered to focus on what they do best. Because truly empowering care only happens when everyone involved is empowered.
Our story
Built on experience
HelpHive is shaped by decades of experience supporting Canadian seniors and insights from global approaches to community care.
Meet Taylor
Founder
Taylor has a law degree and previously worked in healthcare consulting, where he focused on strengthening public hospital and home services in the UK. He also draws on his family’s decades of experience developing seniors’ care homes across Western Canada — done in partnership with Amica Senior Lifestyles — to create award-winning residences. This background now guides Taylor and the HelpHive team in ensuring our community thrives.
